A Love for Creating That Began in Childhood

My love for art began when I was around eleven years old.

As a little girl, I could spend hours drawing. I was especially fascinated by cartoons and loved trying to recreate the characters and images I saw Mickey Mouse, Chip ’n’ Dale and other familiar characters became some of my first subjects.

I was always very good at looking closely at an image and drawing what I saw. What started as a childhood fascination slowly became something much more meaningful — a way of expressing my creativity and exploring what I could create with my own hands.

As I grew older, my drawings naturally developed into paintings. One of my very first paintings was of Mickey Mouse. I enjoyed it so much that I went on to create several different Mickey Mouse paintings.

But eventually, I wanted to try something completely different.

I began experimenting with abstract art — with texture, layers, shapes, movement and colour. There were no longer any rules about what something was supposed to look like. Instead, I could simply create, explore and see where the painting took me.

That was the beginning of my journey as an abstract artist.

My Art Today

Since 2020, I have been painting professionally, developing a style that is deeply connected to my love of texture, subtle colours and organic forms.

I work intuitively, building my paintings layer by layer. I enjoy the unexpected marks, the imperfections and the moments when a painting begins to develop a character of its own.

For me, creating art is still about the same feeling I had as an eleven-year-old girl sitting down with a pencil and a picture in front of me:

the simple joy of creating something that wasn't there before.
